ELECTION OF MEMBERS All Members shall be elected by the Council of the Association on a majority vote of the members of the Council present at a meeting. Full membership will be determined by Council, in accordance with the facilities, which the Association can provide. Only bona fide owners of licenced firearms, approved by the Council, shall attain full membership. The Honorary Secretary shall notify each applicant of the result of his application. A copy of the Rules governing the Association shall be forwarded to every candidate elected to membership of the Association, and the Secretary shall notify the Treasurer who shall require such candidate to pay such entrance fee and/or subscription as is/are required by the Rules of the Association. The whole process of the election of members to the Association and the supervision and arrangement for all matters pertaining to the election of members of the Association in accordance with these rules, shall be under the jurisdiction and control of the Council of the Association, and its decision shall be final. 1. Life Member Any person who has rendered conspicuous service to the Association or to marksmanship in the territory, or who shall donate a sum of not less than $2500. to the Association may be elected by the Council to Life Membership, and shall enjoy all the privileges of a Full Member. 2. Honorary Member Honorary Members shall enjoy all the privileges of a Full member, except voting rights. The name and address of any person being proposed and seconded for Honorary Membership of the Association shall be posted and remain on the Association's Notice Board for one month after which the proposal will be processed by the Council. 3. Full Member Full Members shall be determined by the Council. Bona fide full members of other target shooting organizations, on admission, shall be entitled to full membership. Only bona fide owners of licensed firearms, approved by Council, shall attain full membership. |
