BY-LAWS AND RANGE REGULATIONS
 
1. The Range Officer(s) shall be in full control of all matters on the Range when firing takes place, and all responsibility shall be theirs. 
2. Range fees shall be determined at the discretion of the Council.
3. All instructions given by the Range Officer at the Firing Point must be instantly obeyed. Any member guilty of any practice which in the opinion of the Range Officer is dangerous, may at the Range Officer's discretion be suspended from the shoot and reported to the Council. The Council shall then take such action as it deems fit.
4. A member not satisfied with a ruling of a Range Officer can appeal to the Council in writing within seven (7) days after the incident when the matter shall be considered by the Council and both sides given an opportunity of being heard. The decision of the Council is final.
5. The Range Officer will decide the order in which members shall shoot.
6. Members shooting for competitions shall take precedence for target accommodation over members that are practicing.
7. No member shall fire in any competition until the entrance fee, if any, for such competition has been paid.
8. No weapon may be used on any of the Association's ranges if the Range Officer notified the owner that he considers it unsafe. The Range Officer may inspect and if necessary test any member's firearm at any time if he so desires.
9. Only ammunition issued and/or approved by the Association shall be used on the Ranges.

Only the Ammunition Officer or other Council Member shall transport ammunition to and from the Range. Breech of this rule may render a member liable to expulsion from the Association.
10. In all firing where these rules are silent, the rules of the National Rifle Association, the International Shooting Union, or the International Practical Shooting Confederation, shall apply.
11. Members must prove to the satisfaction of the Council their proficiency to shoot at short ranges before they are permitted to use the longer ranges.
12. No firearm shall be brought to the Range loaded. (A firearm shall be deemed to be loaded when a live round is in the breech, magazine, or cylinder, whether or not the firearm is cocked.)
13. At all times when not shooting, rifles must have their breeches open and, rifle bolts must be removed from actions. It is the duty of all members to see that this rule is rigidly obeyed.
14. The magazine in any rifle must not be charged, but each round loaded separately.
15. Safety catches on any fireman-m cannot be regarded as an adequate precaution, the firearm must be unloaded.
16. No firearm may be loaded until the order "Commence Firing" or "Load and Make Ready" has been given by the Range Officer.
